About Me

Hello: My name is Gillian Matthewman

I have been in ‘helping’ careers all my life and have spent the last seventeen years working with seniors and vulnerable adults, in assisted living, long-term care homes and private homes in the communities of Windsor-Essex County and Grosse Pointe, Michigan.

I am a member in good standing of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers; The Ontario Association of Social Workers; and several volunteer organizations in the local Windsor area. The provision of a current vulnerable sector Police Clearance and professional references are available upon request.

My Approach

I serve my clientele with compassion and professional integrity. Interventions are provided that are strength-based, person-centered and solution-focused. I believe that all persons deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.

My Educational Qualifications

  • Honours Degree in Social Work from the University of Windsor;
  • a Gerontology Multidisciplinary Certificate;
  • End of Life Doula Training;
  • currently furthering my education in Thanatology (death and dying) Studies.
